The Doveton Eagles F.C seeks to appoint a new RESERVES and a new THIRDS coach for the 2014 football season. The Doveton Eagles Football Club has taken significant steps on & off the field in recent years culminating in winning both the SENIORS and RESERVES premierships in 2013. The club has a devoted committee and provides a welcome atmosphere for coaches, players, trainers, support staff and supporters alike. If you are interested in coaching the Doveton Eagles F.C in 2014 please refer to the below memo and apply as advised. MEMO to all applicants: The Doveton Eagles Football Club (Affiliated with Southern Football League) is seeking applications for the following coaching roles for Season 2014. Applications are now open to fill the roles of Playing / Non Playing Reserves Coach and Playing / Non Playing Thirds Coach. All applicants for coaching roles should be suitably qualified with an ambition to work with, and nurture the players on and off the field, helping to maintain the culture and atmosphere at the club which includes a code of conduct and discipline policy as expected by the club executive. This is expected to be adhered to including taking a practical role in ensuring the on-field survival of the club and to help build the Eagles F.C into an even bigger force in Division 2 after its premiership successes of 2013. The club is proud to announce it has appointed Clint Wilson as the new seniors coach for the 2014 season. The club would like to thank former coach Paul Davis for his years at the helm and of course for coaching the undefeated Senior's team this year to the club's second premiership. The last time the club won a senior flag was in 1995. Great Effort! We wish 'Bulldog' all the best as the club's new Senior's coach for 2014 in Division 2. To all players and supporters going on the end of season trip be on your best behaviour as you are representing the club no matter where you go. As soon as the coache advisen when pre season starts it will be posted on here and on facebook so keep an eye out for this to be updated. Let's all get down there and finish off the season with our focus on not only season just gone but our promotion into Division 2. Millsy is having a consistant year playing in the senior ranks and Cam is starting to find form in recent weeks and looks set for a big second half and finals series in the seniors as well..All the best to both players in their milestone game...Go Eagles! Club president Jenny Davis has announced that the council has advised the Power Reserve oval is to receive two additional light towers and the current ones will be extended to meet required safety standards. The club is also working with council to get better fencing around the ground and kids playground as well as new goal posts but this is yet to approved by council. The council has also advised both the football club and co tenants the Doveton North cricket club that the club rooms will receive a much needed refurbishment later in the year. The club congratulates old timer Greg Kerr on reaching 50 games for the club last Saturday. Well done Kerrrry! Greg first played for the club wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the stone age and has left and come back again a couple of times. This year Kerrrrrrrry is an integral part of the ressies team challenging for the premiership. Well done buddy from all at the club on finally getting to 50 games for the Eagles. He has kicked as many goals as he has eaten pizzas and hopefully he kicks a bag in his milestone game and I'm sure enjoy a couple of supremes with extra cheese and pineapple after the game. Brayden in his 8th season at the club first played back in 2006 and will play his 100th match this week whilst Matty O first played in 2010 and is playing his 50th match. Catto looks forward to the challenge and all players from last year need to get down to training and show your support. The club has recruited well over summer and there will be a lot more depth in all three senior teams this year so you have to earn your spot by working hard at training. The Doveton Eagles F.C re-appointed Senior Coach Paul Davis at the end of last season as well as the reserves coaches Cameron Womersley & Mick Labinski. Congratulations to all the coaches appointed.
